I have been put to the test before in so many instances like when I was forced into an early retirement from professional football due to an injury from an accident, which forced me to move back to Cameroon and start all over toggling from one odd job to the next. The greatest lesson I have learnt is resilience.
I was laying in bed browsing when I noticed I had won and I screamed so loud my younger brother who lives with me woke up in panic and rushed to me scared something had happened. I showed him my phone and we both stared at it for a while.
Utterly lost for words, our next reaction was uncontrollable tears rushing down our cheeks. I still can’t find the words to describe it. Extremely overjoyed to say the very least.
There is a drivers’ union which I belong to. I called the president and sent him 20,000 XAF and asked him to get drinks for everybody.
I have already made some investments in the right direction I think. I bought myself a car so I can continue my driving. This time it will be my car, not working for someone else. This win will help me better manage my time, effort and resources. It is a game changer for me.
I see myself being my own boss and employing someone so that I have more time to oversee and possibly pursue other ventures. I hope to become a renowned businessman, living a comfortable life and helping others overcome their own day-to-day struggles. Never give up.
